Within the scope of our business, which is the Sale and Distribution of High Pressure Products and the facilitation of design services provided by qualified product manufacturers; Hi-Pro Pressure Products Ltd can be classified as ‘Controllers’ of Data. Hi-Pro Pressure Products Ltd is the UK distributor on behalf of four qualified suppliers/manufacturers, the main products we sell are:

• “TOP Industrie” High Pressure Valves

Our Systems

Accounts

We hold names and business-only contact details merely to service requests to provide quotations, process formal orders and fulfil contractual obligations. The data is classified as consensual as it is freely given by the owner for the purposes of the business transaction. Many of our contracts are subject to confidentiality and records may have to be maintained for some years, as required by the customer. Users access the system with passwords

Office Software, including email

We use these systems to process quotations, formal orders and deliveries. Email folders are used to hold the history of the customer’s business email communications. For the same reasons as the Accounts system, we hold names and business-only contact details merely to service requests to provide quotations, process formal orders and fulfil contractual obligations. The data is classified as Consensual as it is freely given by the owner for the purposes of the business transaction. Users access the system with passwords.

Customer Relationship System

We use this system to record the history of business-only contact with a customer for the purposes of maintaining the relationship so that we can provide an appropriate level of service as expected. We may from time to time extract relevant customers’ data to communicate with them (generally via email) to inform them of updates to products or services that may be of genuine interest or that they may need to be aware of.

The following information may be collected:

• Name and Job Title
• Contact information including email address
• Demographic information such as postcode, preferences and interests

We class this data as Legitimate Interests as the scope of this information is restricted to our business to business relationship. This would only classify as personal data where the individual’s business status is recognised as such in UK and European Law. We may keep your data for up to 7 years to cover statutory record keeping requirements, after this we will ask your permission to renew that period for another 7 years unless further orders have been placed in the meantime.

To minimise any impact, the email system used keeps a track of customers’ preferences and offers an opt-out facility with every communication.

From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by email, phone, fax or mail. We may use any resulting information to customise our website according to your interests or improve our products and services to serve you better. Users access the system with passwords.

We will never sell, distribute or lease your personal or business information to third parties. The Hi-Pro Pressure Products Website is for the convenience of customers and potential customers to provide them with information about our business, its products and services and our contact details. Additionally enquiries may be made to Hi-Pro Pressure Products via a web page email facility. Any contact information received through the voluntary completion of the enquiry form, will be subject to our standard procedures for data protection. Our website does not use Cookies but does collect data for Google Analytics (see below).
